The Bear and the Maiden Fair

Aw man I am sad people don’t like the ending credits of Game of Thrones. That song is perfect. It holds so much symbolism in the book. Honestly, I feel like the TV series tends to brush over some of the symbolism and prophecies because they don’t have a clear idea of where the series is going…due to the books being unfinished and all.

Brienne is the Bear. Jaime is the maiden fair. And they saved each other.

Anonymous asked: Katakana is used alot, as there is so much from america that is in the popcuture news, alot of movie titles are in katakana. and also there is a simplified form called the plain form. but as a student keigo is the best way to start learning is also something as a foreigner you would have to use to your superiors.

Answer:

Just because katakana is used a lot does not mean it is useful. It is especially harmful to English learning and communication. And many times if they use katakana for an English movie the use a word Japanese people don’t know. For example, the Tom Cruise movie Jack Reacher’s title in Japan was オウトラー. Why not use a Japanese word for outlaw? Seems lazy to me.
